**Terrumina is a Pen & Paper RPG with a modular approach to it’s rules system, aiming to support the manifold requirements across all game tables playing in both premade or homebrewed worlds and adventures.**
With Terrumina’s ruleset modules adapting the game to the requirements at your game table, Terrumina aims to keep both game balance and GM vision intact.
Terrumina invites both newcomers and veterans alike to play around with the diverse amounts of possibilities to bring your own characters and cooperative storytelling to life.
Terrumina has been through many states of development for over ten years from its initial vision. Across five different core-rulesets that made it into playtesting, the latest version of Terrumina now aims to be the definitive release version.
The **Core Rules of Terrumina** come with a promise to always be **freely available** for anyone to play **without restrictions**.
As a consequence from this promise allowing no monetization of the early fruits of development, the future of Terrumina after its public release will be uncertain. As such, **please expect no frequent updates or swift completion of the project**.
The total amount of support Terrumina receives throughout its development will determine the game’s future after its release.

### Intro into Terrumina
This section serves to give you an overview over the project’s vision, goals and approach to modular rulesets.
You should start here before getting lost in the specialized sections that teach you about the individual rules and details about worlds, stories, characters or content.
### Terrumina: Core Rules
Including all the rules necessary to play Terrumina at your table, the Core rules are presented in a wiki-style format and are free to print for numbered release versions.
With the migration of rules in progress, there is not much to see here for the near future.
### Terrumina: Overworld
The Overworld version of Terrumina is a Session-Zero style game about cooperative worldbuilding for roleplaying groups of any system.
Terrumina: Overworld also provides mechanics for advancing the world as you play, acting out activities of the various factions and key-figures inhabiting your worlds.
For GMs, this style of Session-Zero play is a way of playfully getting to know the priorities and motivations of your players, all while tying them closer to the world you all create and flesh out as a group (reducing the need for any GM preparations).
### Terrumina Updates
Head to this section for reading about announcements, upcoming rule changes, content previews or challenges encountered while developing Terrumina: Overworld.
Updates happen at irregular intervals as long as there is no structured development timeline in play.
This is the only reliable public source of information regarding the development and progress of Terrumina.

> Please understand that solo-development of such a large project is rather difficult, but primarily extremely time-consuming.
Without perspectives on easy monetization, I have to balance my own needs in for-profit projects versus the opportunities to take time off for progressing Terrumina.
I will continue to do what I can for supporting this project in the background of my activities, and promise to push towards finishing the Core rules at any reasonable cost to myself.
